As We Sleep
In the summer of 2002, Marcie Lotzgeselles’ parents welcomed documentary filmmaker Elizabeth McDonald into their home. Together they told the story of Marcie’s tragedy in order to raise awareness of the abuse that can take place in group homes for the developmentally disabled. The statistics presented in the film are based on data provided by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
