About AthenaWeb

A virtual home for science communicators

Launched in the spring of 2005, AthenaWeb is a video portal and workspace for European audiovisual communication professionals in the areas of science and scientific information. Contributors and users of the service include institutions, universities, labs, corporations, not-for-profit organisations, and of course the television and film industry (broadcasters, journalists, documentary makers, producers, people who commission TV programming, etc.).

About athenaWeb

AthenaWeb is 100% backed by the European Commission’s Research Directorate-General and is run by the science communications agency LAB TO MEDIA. EU funding for this initiative is geared towards stimulating science communication, increasing film production and distribution, and setting the scene for science, research and innovation to prosper in Europe, and beyond.

AthenaWeb’s 2007 redevelopment was managed by Bee to B.

Make AthenaWeb count, for you!

AthenaWeb is a tool for science communication. It belongs to you, the user, so it is up to you to make it work. By all means use the service to build your business and develop your projects and networks, but respect one another in the process. Abusing the service undermines it for everyone. Please contact us if you observe anyone using the service inappropriately!
